When was the house built? This southern colonial mansion was completed in 1938.
Who owns the property? The Henry family. Solvang is still owned and operated by the son of the original owner and designer of the home.
What time is breakfast served? At any time you request! We have served breakfast at 4:15 in the morning, and also at 11am...anytime before 11am can be accommodated, just let us know your preference.
Do you serve lunch or dinner? No, as a B&B, we are only licensed to serve breakfast, but we can recommend some great local dining options both in person and right here.
Where should I park? There is plenty of free parking on the blacktop without getting parked in. The blacktop parking is close to both the Inn and the Stabbur with easy access to unload your car.
Do you have an elevator? Due to our ongoing efforts in preserving the historical integrity of the house, we do not have an elevator. However, we are more than willing to help you get your bags to your room. If you prefer to not do stairs, we recommend staying in our ground-level Aviary Room.
Are there private bathrooms? Yes, each of our guest rooms has its own private bathroom en suite.
Do you have TVs and Wifi? Yes! Our historic home still has modern amenities. There are TVs with cable and DVD players in each room, as well as Wifi throughout the house.
What common spaces are off limits? Actually, none! We are not owner occupied, which means that our living room, music room, decks, and dining rooms are not shared with a family currently living in the house. We welcome guests to enjoy these spaces and not feel limited to just their guest room.
When is check-in/check-out? Check-in time is any time range you request! We can often accommodate early check-ins by request. 11am is checkout time, but we do offer late checkout at no extra charge if the room is available.
